CORRELAID CHALLENGE RETURNS
A global volunteer team joins Sensing Clues
After the great experience of building the Environmental Time Series Analysis together in 2025, we’re very happy to be collaborating once again with a volunteer team from CorrelAid Nederland. This four-month CorrelAid Challenge aims to strengthen and improve science communication by making our solutions more accessible, clear, and impactful. It brings together passionate data professionals and scientists to help us further improve and expand our tools. We’re grateful for their continued support and excited about the improvements and new features ahead.
What is CorrelAid?
CorrelAid is a non-profit network that connects skilled data volunteers with organisations working for social and environmental good. Through structured challenges, interdisciplinary teams contribute their expertise to meaningful, real-world projects. We at Sensing Clues are proud to be part of this inspiring community once again.
An international and interdisciplinary team
This year’s team consists of six dedicated volunteers — Mario, Rutger, Felicity, Marie, Sreekala, and Isaline — with Mitchell and Melanie supporting from the Sensing Clues side, and Maria and Daniela from the CorrelAid Nederland side. Together, they bring a wide range of expertise, including data engineering, biology, statistics, business analysis, and data analysis. Just as inspiring is the team’s international nature. Volunteers are contributing from the Netherlands, Portugal, France, India, China, and Italy, bringing diverse perspectives and experiences to the challenge.
Working together for meaningful impact
Beyond the technical work, the challenge is about collaboration, shared curiosity, and learning from one another. By combining skills, knowledge, and perspectives, we are strengthening our tools — and contributing to a growing global community using data to better understand and protect our environment. We’ll keep you posted on the team’s progress and the developments ahead. Follow us on LinkedIn to stay up to date and be part of the journey.
